All pheasant and correct: North Yorkshire’s Pheasant Hotel awarded Innovator of the Year by Boutique Hotelier

Boutique Hotelier recently announced the winners of their 2020 awards and Jacquie Pern and Peter Neville, co-owners of the Pheasant Hotel in Harome, North Yorkshire, have been dubbed Innovators of the Year.

Their award win was thanks to their successful implementation of Phezeroo, a local takeaway and delivery service designed to provide food and other essential items to locals during lockdown. As the host of the virtual awards ceremony explained “the size of their village just goes to show that this innovation was not profit driven and it simply had the community at its heart”.

Peter and Jacquie were both thrilled to be recognised and had this to say: “We couldn’t be prouder of our fantastic and dedicated Pheasant Team, without whom Phezeroo would never have been possible in the first place. We are currently delivering Phezeroo 2.0 which we instigated at the start of the second lockdown. The community has really rallied round, and it’s been a great success!”

Jacquie and Peter co-own the Pheasant Hotel in Harome, one of the most beautiful Country Hotel settings in North Yorkshire. Having recently secured three AA rosettes for culinary excellence in their restaurant, they can add this latest accolade to their growing list.
