Leeds sees arrival of ASK Italian

Last week saw the opening of a new ASK Italian restaurant on Lands Lane in Leeds and they’re celebrating by giving customers the chance to win a special gold card so they can enjoy free pizza and pasta with a friend for a whole year, perfect for a weekly catch up!

To enter, just pop into ASK Italian in Leeds before the 1st of October and post a photo to on Instagram tagging @ASKItalian and using #ASKItalianLeeds. To book your table, head to www.askitalian.co.uk/locations/leeds.

ASK Italian’s award winning design team have gone all out for the Leeds restaurant, which has seating for 146 people. The new restaurant will feature a hand-crafted flower wall and a hand painted mural; a nod to the floral carpets of Spello, the Italian town which inspired the design. To bring that al-fresco dining experience inside, the new ASK Italian will have an ‘indoor courtyard’; a pergola with climbing greenery and festoon lighting, helping to evoke that joyful feeling of Italian escapism to Leeds diners.

Bringing the Italian dining experience to life are a team of 37, ready to spoil locals with food and drinks that would make any Italian proud! ASK Italian are encouraging people to embrace Italian culture with the Italian Aperitivo tradition of a pre-dinner Spritz, and have three to choose from: the classic Aperol Spritz, Limoncello Spritz, or Rose Garden Spritz.

Whilst sipping on an Aperitivo cocktail, diners can nibble on one of ASK Italian’s signature Antipasto boards – before tucking into a range of dishes from starters, Pasta Fresca dishes, stone-baked pizza’s, filling mains and salads. A highlight is the Purple Basil Pesto Genovese; this posh pesto pasta is made with actual purple basil grown exclusively for ASK Italian on a family-run farm near Verona. And there’s some-thing for everyone at ASK Italian, with full vegan and non-gluten menus, lighter options, and great food for little ones!

ASK Italian is known to have a little fun with dessert – there are some real show-stoppers on the menu. If you haven’t already had your pasta fix, try the baked chocolate gnocchi; donut-like Nutella filled delights which come with their own dipping sauce!

ASK Italian’s Managing Director, Harry Heeley, says, “We’re delighted to be opening our next new restaurant in the heart of Leeds! We love the Italian passion for gathering around the table together, and our team is looking forward to welcoming Leeds locals in so they can enjoy eating as the Italians do.”

If you’re passing by, look out for the ASK Italian team with a cute vendor cart. They’ll be giving out free tasters of their handcrafted lemonade from it. And as an extra treat, there will also be some free Aperol Spritz vouchers around, so customers can enjoy the ultimate Italian Aperitivo on the house with a main meal.
