Côte Brasserie brings biggest-ever menu refresh to its York restaurant

Diners in Yorkshire can now enjoy Côte Brasserie’s biggest menu transformation to date at its York venue, with the French restaurant group bringing back much-loved favourites alongside a host of new dishes across breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.

Launched this month, the extensive menu refresh has been designed to celebrate everything guests love about Côte, from affordable lunches and leisurely breakfasts to indulgent weekend brunches and classic French dishes.

The new menu, created by former Gordon Ramsay Executive Chef Steve Allen, includes the return of the popular Prix Fixe menu, guest favourites such as Duck Confit and Poulet Grillé, and a range of new additions including the Steak Haché Burger and Côte’s first-ever take on the traditional fish and chips supper.

Visitors to the Côte Brasserie in York can also enjoy an expanded breakfast offering, with the venue now opening from 8am Monday to Saturday and 9am on Sundays. New lighter options including breakfast bowls, homemade granola and pastries start from £3.95, while breakfast baguettes, omelettes and filled croissants are available from £7.

The launch also introduces a new weekend brunch menu, available until 2.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Highlights include Free-Flow French Toast, which comes with a choice of toppings and unlimited refills, alongside the new Brunch Burger and an optional 90 minutes of free-flowing fizz.

One of the biggest changes is the return of Côte’s much-loved Prix Fixe menu, available Monday to Friday from 11.30am. Guests can enjoy two courses for £19.95 or three courses for £23.95, with dishes including Crispy Whitebait, Poulet Grillé, Fish Parmentier, Creamy Tomato Mafalde and Steak Frites.

The all-day menu has also been expanded with new sharing plates and contemporary French classics. New ‘For the Table’ dishes include Provençal Fougasse served with flavoured butters and a build-your-own Charcuterie Board featuring cheeses and cured meats imported from France.

Among the new Côte Icons are the returning Duck Confit, along with Breton Fish Stew and Risotto Vert. The Steak Haché Burger is expected to become a menu staple, featuring Côte Butchery beef, peppercorn sauce and the restaurant’s signature free-flowing frites.

For the first time in the brand’s history, Côte has also introduced Plaice Frites, its French-inspired take on fish and chips, served with crushed petit pois, house-made tartare sauce and free-flowing frites.

The menu refresh also caters for those looking for lighter options, with a new Lighter Mains section offering dishes under 800 calories, including salads, baguettes, Crab & Prawn Linguine, Creamy Tomato Mafalde and a build-your-own Caesar Salad.

Steve Allen, Côte’s Executive Chef, said: “One of the best parts of my job is hearing what our guests think. And over the last few months, I’ve heard one thing rather clearly, guests missed some of our old favourites. When we introduced our last menu, we made some big changes. While many were well received, there were a few dishes that you weren’t quite ready to say au revoir to.

“We’ve brought back some of the dishes you’ve been asking for, alongside new recipes inspired by the regions, flavours and traditions that make French food so special. I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.”

The changes are now available at all of Côte Brasserie locations including York, giving diners the chance to rediscover old favourites while sampling a range of new dishes inspired by French regional cooking and modern brasserie dining.
