Celebrate the festive period with Lebanese feasting at Comptoir Libanais in Leeds

This Christmas Comptoir Libanais in Leeds is helping you to add some Middle-Eastern vibrancy and flavours into your celebrations with their Lebanese feasting menu which are fantastic for celebrating with friends, family and work colleagues. (Check out our verdict on the menu here).

Founder, Tony Kitous has worked with his team of chefs to create menus for the festival period that reflect the hospitality and warmth shown in homes across the Middle-East. Wonderful sharing dishes will fill the table giving guests the opportunity to taste the flavours of Lebanon together.

The Christmas Feast, priced at £24.95 per person, launched on 18 November and will be available until 24 December. It has been designed by Tony and the team to create a playful twist on the traditional flavours they associate with Christmas and combining them with fragrant herbs and spices of the Middle-East.

The menu offers a selection of four mezze dishes to share, including favourites such as Aubergine with tahina – fried aubergine with tahina, garlic, sumac, fresh lemon and pomegranate seeds and Harissa Spiced Chicken Hommos – smooth creamy chickpea puree topped with spiced harissa chicken, tahina, lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil.

For mains, guests can enjoy Harissa and Honey Baby Chicken – harissa and honey roasted marinated baby chicken with spiced potatoes or they can opt for Lamb Kofta with rice and Spiced Tahina – grilled spiced minced lamb with herbs, onion and tahina dressing, served with vermicelli rice. For those who enjoy fish at Christmas, the Roasted Sea Bass -roasted sea bass filet with braised fennel, confit tomatoes, Kalamata olives, coriander, garlic dressing and fresh lemon and the vegetarian option of Aubergine and Feta Shakshuka spiced aubergine with slow-cooked mixed peppers, tomatoes, onions, garlic and feta cheese. This can easily be made vegan too and is sure to bring much comfort and joy.

The desserts will offer a grand finale to the meal and are served family-style with guests sharing them with each other, these include: Christmas Date Pudding – sticky date pudding covered in white chocolate, served with vanilla ice cream, date syrup and mixed nuts and Rose Mouhalabia – Traditional Lebanese rose water milk pudding with slow-cooked red berry compote – perfect for Christmas.
