Contemporary bake house, dining room and wine cellar, CORA, which is based in Boston Spa in Leeds, will be expanding its fine dining experience Evening Tasting Menus next month.
Headed up by chef Elizabeth Cottam (Head Chef and Founder of much-lauded Leeds restaurants HOME and The Owl), CORA has quickly expanded from its innovative bakery and patisserie-based brunch and daytime tasting menu, which will be expanded on 20th August. The fully female senior team has already seen high praise and CORA’s new and diverse offering has been celebrated in Boston Spa for enriching the town’s culinary scene.
Liz Cottam embraces the sense of occasion around food, bringing fine dining to the slots of brunch and afternoon tea, which are usually more informal and casual. She strives to inject modern ingredients and culinary techniques, as well as an optional, carefully selected wine or cocktail, to push the envelope and revolutionise afternoon tea as it has been traditionally known.
CORA will be serving up a tasting menu of eight small plates on Friday and Saturday evenings. Priced £65 per person, reservations are made with a deposit. Menus are not published, either prior to or during your dining experience.
CORA serves breakfast, lunch, and afternoon and evening tasting experiences, alongside a selection of ever-changing speciality cakes, pastries and wines. Everything can be enjoyed in the small dining room or can be boxed and wrapped to be enjoyed at home.
In addition, CORA offers a comprehensive wine, champagne and dessert wine selection, as well as a collection of food and daytime-friendly cocktails. All tasting experiences can be enjoyed alongside a carefully selected drinks pairing.
Reservations can be made for both tasting and à la carte dining. CORA also holds a small selection of walk-in, on the day tables, for à la carte dining. Tasting menus must be pre-booked.
