Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park festival tour is underway with awesome music and tasty food coming to Leeds this weekend

Pub in the Park is back and is bigger and better than ever as Tom Kerridge takes his pals on an eight date UK tour that includes a visit to Roundhay Park in Leeds this weekend (Friday 31 May – Sunday 2 June). After the sell-out success of the opening weekend in Marlow, Kerridge and his chef buddies are ready and raring to go for his trip to Yorkshire.

Tom Kerridge – the UK’s favourite pub proprietor will be bringing his chef mates to the party for a relaxed and intimate gathering; supporting and celebrating local talent, as well as presenting some of the biggest names in food and music at his Pub in the Park festival. Each pop-up pub will be serving taster dishes and there are some absolute beauties in there… The Hand & Flowers will be serving their take on an absolute pub classic the great British pie; Minted Lamb Pie, Mash, Liquor, Kerridge’s other establishment The Coach will also be bringing a classic with Chicken Kiev, The Hind’s Head is bringing its infamous Scotch Egg, Berners Tavern will be bringing everyone’s favourite comfort dish Mac & Cheese but with added braised beef, The Star Inn will be taking the humble burger up a notch with a Yorkshire Game & Blue Cheese Burger, Rick Stein will be bringing all the seafood with dishes such as Lemon Sole with Salsa Verde Mayo and Paul Ainsworth will be bringing back his Dog’s Pollock due to its popularity last year to name just a few.

Across the whole tour, the festival will feature a total of 18 Michelin Stars serving tasting dishes showcasing their signature style. Over 400,000 dishes are expected to be served over the Summer alongside 100’s of exhibitors celebrating the very best food the country has to offer. The pub line-up is looking better than ever with some stunning pubs including Kerridge’s two Michelin starred The Hand & Flowers and Michelin starred The Coach, plus new for 2019 highlights include;Claude Bosi’s Oyster Bar at Bibendum, Tommy Banks’The Black Swan, Oldstead and new venue Roots, The Cross at Kenilworth, Jodie Kidd’s Half Moon Kirdford and Tim Allen’s Flitch of Bacon. Due to popular demand returning pubs include; Jason Atherton’s Berners Tavern, Josh Eggleton’s The Pony & Trap, Andrew Pern’sThe Star Inn, Michel Roux Jr.’s The Wigmore, Stephen Terry’s The Hardwick, James MacKenzie’s The Pipe & Glass, and the brilliant Italian cooking of Angela Hartnett’s Cafe Murano.

There will also be over 50 music acts performing across the whole festival including All Saints, Kaiser Chiefs, Texas, Will Young, David Gray, Clean Banditt, Razorlight, Fun Lovin Criminals, Basement Jaxx, Rick Astley and KT Tunstall, alongside chef demonstrations, top quality shopping and other festival fun.
