Sheffield bar to reopen under new management after £500,000 lockdown deal

A Sheffield bar has been acquired for more than £500,00 as it prepares to reopen this weekend. The Wick at Both Ends, in Sheffield, will be reopening its doors tomorrow (Saturday th4 July) – but under different management than when it closed.

The bar, on West Street, has been acquired by Emerald Late Bars and Restaurants in a six-figure deal during lockdown.

The previous owners announced the change on Facebook. They posted: “The Wick sadly will not be reopening as you know it, we would like to thank all of our customers and staff past and present for such a great time over the years.

“We look forward to seeing you on the other side of the bar of many of our fine city’s independent pubs and bars.”
