The Swine Bistro, an independent Leeds restaurant run by chef couple Jo and Stu Myers, is celebrating its inclusion in the Good Food Guide’s Top 100 Best Local Restaurants, one of only two Leeds restaurants to be recognised in this year’s national list.
Having relocated from the city centre to a larger home on Otley Road in Headingley this April, the bistro has quickly become a neighbourhood favourite, known for its seasonal dishes and legendary Sunday lunches.

Now in its 15th year, the Good Food Guide’s Best Local Restaurant list, produced in partnership with Square, champions accessible, great-value dining across the UK. Nearly 60,000 public nominations were submitted this year, with just 100 restaurants making the final cut.
Jo Myers, co-owner of the Swine Bistro, said: “We’re blown away to be named one of the UK’s Best 100 Local Restaurants, and one of only two in Leeds. To be listed alongside so many restaurants we admire is a real honour.”
“Since opening our doors in Headingley just 14 weeks ago, we’ve found our stride, growing in confidence, expanding our menu to include our take on the classic Sunday roast, and staying true to what drives us: bold, seasonal cooking made with the best Yorkshire produce. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s visited and supported us on this new chapter. There’s so much more to come, from fresh menu additions to exciting collaborations, so watch this space!”
Swine Bistro is located opposite the Arndale Centre on Otley Road, Headingley, and is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner. Bookings can be made at swinethatdines.co.uk.
