Our verdict: Getting into the festive spirits at Dirty Martini

Mince Chai

As we enter the last week before Christmas, anyone still struggling to get into the festive spirit could do far worse than escaping the desperate throng of last minute shoppers for a taste of Dirty Martini’s specially created range of seasonal cocktails.

Amaretto Disaronno is mixed with cranberry juice & blood orange syrup, topped with Prosecco

Havana 3yr Rum is shaken with Briottet Crème de Cacao, Crème de Menthe, Butterscotch Schnapps, double cream, dark chocolate pencils & fresh mint leaves, garnished with an After Eight mint slice

Bols Genever & Tanqueray Gin are shaken with Cherry Heering liqueur, homemade raspberry syrup, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, pomegranate juice & orange bitters

Bold London Spirit is shaken with Bitter Truth Pimento Dram, gingerbread syrup, chai tea syrup, pressed apple juice, egg white, citric acid & Fee Brothers Cherry Bitters

Jim Beam Bourbon is stirred over ice with Manzanilla Sherry, Mandarin Napoleon liqueur, quince jelly, muddled walnuts, Fee Brothers Whiskey Barrel-Aged Bitters & Fee Brothers Black Walnut Bitters.

To help jolly things along even further, Dirty Martini has also put together a platter of treats with a distinctly Christmassy flavour that includes beef & cheese sliders with bloody Mary ketchup, mini Yorkshire pudding stuffed with turkey & cranberry sauce, grilled garlic & prawn skewers, and cranberry & brie wonton.

EatDrinkYorkshire’s Verdict:

The five handpicked cocktails each brought something different to the table but our personal favourite was the Mince Chai offering with its delicious blend of festive flavours. It’s like drinking liquid Christmas. The platter was also a very pleasant way of soaking up some of the alcohol with the bloody Mary ketchup providing a lovely kick to proceedings.
