To get into the ‘spirit’ of Negroni Week (14th – 20th September) Harrogate’s Slinsgby Gin has concocted three variations of the cocktail to provide alternatives to the classic version.
Slingsby Negroni
· 30ml Slingsby London Dry Gin
· 30ml Campari
· 30ml Vermouth
Add the three ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir well until chilled. Strain into an old-fashioned glass with fresh ice and garnish with a twist of grapefruit peel.
Rhubarb Negroni
· 25ml Slingsby Rhubarb gin
· 25ml Sweet Red Vermouth
· 15ml Campari
· 10ml Aperol
Stir down ingredients with ice in a short glass and garnish with an orange wedge and a pink grapefruit twist.
Gooseberry Negroni
· 25ml Slingsby Gooseberry Gin
· 25ml Sweet White Vermouth
· 15ml Suze
· 25ml Cloudy Apple Juice
Stir down ingredients with ice in a short glass and garnish with an apple slice. If you can’t find Suze, try this recipe with a Dry White Vermouth and two dashes of Orange Bitters.
Marmalade Negroni Sour
· 25ml Slingsby Marmalade Gin
· 25ml Sweet Red Vermouth
· 25ml Campari
· 20ml Grapefruit Juice
· 5ml Sugar Syrup
Stir down ingredients with ice in a short glass and garnish with an orange peel twist.
