The Swine Bistro, the independent Leeds restaurant and one of the Good Food Guide and SquareMeal’s Top 100 Best Local Restaurants, is bringing back one of its most-loved and hotly anticipated events; its Legendary Pie Nights.
A firm favourite since the restaurant’s early days, Pie Nights celebrate everything The Swine does best – bold British flavours, slow-cooked comfort and generous, joy-filled cooking, all wrapped up in proper pastry.
This season’s Pie Night menu showcases a mix of rich, meat-led classics and inventive vegetable-led pies, all made in-house and served with the Swine Bistro’s signature warmth and homely hosting.
The Pie Line-Up Includes:
- Beef Cheek & Oxtail, a deeply savoury, slow-braised and unapologetically indulgent.
- Chicken, Leek & Tarragon, a refined take on a comforting classic.
- Artichoke, Ricotta, Portobello & Walnut, earthy, creamy and full of texture.
- Fennel, Hispi Cabbage, Butter Bean & Old Winchester, seasonal, vibrant and packed with flavour.
For those looking to feast as a group, there’s also a centrepiece showstopper designed for sharing. The large Suet-Topped Venison, Red Wine & Bone Marrow Pie, serves four and is rich, luxurious and built for the centre of the table.
The Swine Bistro’s whole personality can be personified through its pies, harking back to the early days of its Pie Nights that stand for joyful celebrations of generous cooking and communal dining.
Jo Myers, cofounder of the Swine Bistro, said: “Our love of making and serving the finest pies are a huge part of our story. They’re about taking the time to cook things properly, slow braises, good pastry, big, bold flavours for people to enjoy together. It’s comfort food, Swine-style.”
Pie Nights will run on selected dates, initially available on 4th and 11th February, with further dates to be added, and are priced from £24pp. Dinners will also find all the usual starters available, including homemade terrines and pates as well as a moreish dessert menu where you will absolutely find room for decadent sponge puddings and, of course, the now iconic frivolous Swine Bistro trifle.
