The Junction, a vibrant new neighbourhood, is poised to transform community living in Leeds. Situated in the central Whitehall area, The Junction has initiated a range of events free of charge, set on the historic viaduct at the city’s core.
After a highly successful launch, Street Food Saturdays are set to begin in June. Each week will feature a rotation of food traders, with the opening weekend spotlighting award-qinning chef Nicko Lachica serving his signature Herencia, alongside the debut of El Piloto’s fresh tacos. The Reserve Cocktail Bar will provide drinks, while Rabbit Hole Coffee and Cup of Kin offer coffee and pastries throughout the season. Additional culinary highlights include the MorMor x Eat Your Greens BBQ special at June’s end, and crowd-pleasers such as Hoi Polloi, Homeboys Pizza, Holy Mountain, Niko’s Comfort Kitchen, Bonnie & Clyde, Little Bao Boy, Spuds n Bros, and Salma.
The Junction is excited to announce the comeback of CAMP! Drag Cabaret, which will host regular brunch events throughout the summer, commencing on June 8th from 12 pm to 3 pm. CAMP is a welcoming drag cabaret ensemble known for its dynamic and captivating performances. Originating at Chow Down amidst the pandemic, they have hosted numerous sold-out events and have amassed a substantial following since then.
When asked about the event taking place at The Junction, Johnathan Lloyd, General Manager at The Junction, stated: “We’re really excited to showcase the spaces that make up The Junction, and give Leeds a taste of the vibrant community here now that all of our buildings are open and available for rental. We’re very lucky to be situated right on Monk Bridge Viaduct, and with a host of events planned for the year, this is just the start of sharing this beautiful space.”
