Leeds’ popular weekly indie food market #EatNorth returns for one-off Christmas event.
The Leeds Indie Food-run event, which ran weekly for 21 events through spring and summer this year, is breaking out of winter hibernation for a special one-off Christmas #EatNorth!
The event will run Saturday 8th December 12-10pm, with the bar open even later at the North Brewing Co. brewery taproom on Sheepscar Grove, on the edge of the city centre. The festive edition will contain all of the usual #EatNorth shenanigans, with the addition of some covered seating for added winter cosiness.
Festive Trader Line-up:
Harewood Food & Drink Project will also be bringing the gins, with North Brewing Co. themselves hosting special Christmas takeaways and gift packs to further dollop on the festive spirit. Alongside the usual games, DJ Ed Vector will be spinning some tunes to give you the festive feels.
If you don’t know #EatNorth, suffice to say Lonely Planet called the event “the North’s best food festival”, so come down and grab a bite of Leeds Indie Food and see if you agree!
Christian Townsley, Owner North Brewing Co., said: “Eat North was a fantastic success this summer, filling the brewery with street food, DJs and craft beer for 21 Saturdays in a row (with barely any rain!). We can’t wait to bring it back for a one-off festive special this December.
“Working with like-minded independents who are producing fantastic food and drink is one of our favourite parts of our business and we’re really pleased to be welcoming Wayward Wines and Harewood Food & Drink Project for their Eat North debuts. They will be showcasing their natural wines, and gins crafted with botanicals from the nearby Harewood estate, which make ideal Christmas presents and we will also be running a pop-up North Brewing Co stall selling merchandise and glassware, brewery tour vouchers, and lots of cans of beer to pop into stockings this Christmas.”
