A new luxury chocolate experience is set to arrive at White Rose Shopping Centre, as Hotel Chocolat prepares to open a combined retail store and Velvetiser Café.
The new space will offer visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the world of cacao, bringing together the brand’s premium chocolate collections with a café designed for relaxed, experience-led visits. Located facing the centre’s Central Atrium, close to JD, Clarks and Rituals, the store will add to White Rose’s growing mix of well-known brands.
The Velvetiser Café will serve a menu of drinks and treats inspired by Hotel Chocolat’s bestselling chocolates. Guests will be able to choose from 19 core hot drinking chocolate flavours, along with limited-edition seasonal specials and six iced options. Each drink can also be transformed into a Choc Shake, with a choice of dairy or plant-based alternatives and a range of toppings, including the brand’s signature Cacao Whip. Alongside the drinks, the café will offer a selection of bespoke bakes and cakes designed to complement the menu.
Steven Foster, Centre Director at White Rose Shopping Centre, said the arrival reflects the continued appeal of the destination to premium retailers, as brands invest in spaces that deliver both retail and hospitality experiences.
Hotel Chocolat’s District Manager Lydia Davies said the White Rose location will bring the brand’s boutique and café concept to Leeds shoppers, offering a place where visitors can browse, relax and enjoy its range of chocolate-inspired drinks and treats at their own pace.
An opening date has not yet been confirmed, but further details are expected to be shared soon. Shoppers can sign up to White Rose PLUS to receive updates on the launch and other news from the centre.
